The Faith in Action Leadership team is comprised of 22 Grade 7 and 8 students who lead the school in a variety of initiatives throughout the school year. These students recognize the importance of their role as they act as models of faith for the younger students at Sacred Heart. They are an energetic group who are eager to embrace a variety of different leadership opportunities within the school community.

During the month of November, the Faith in Action Team spearheaded two very important initiatives. They promoted and organized a toiletry drive for the Burlington Food

Bank. By the time all was said and done, the school community donated over 700

pounds of toiletry items.

They also organized an Operation Christmas Child campaign for Samaritan’s Purse, an organization that delivers shoe boxes filled with various items to children that are less fortunate. These boxes are a symbol of hope and faith for millions of children every year. By the end of the campaign, over 180 boxes were ready to be delivered to children around the world in need of support.

This a great example of a cool school that is bringing our faith to life!
